Riverbox commissioned by the Dublin Arts Council, Dublin, OH
Fractures and Fissures
latex paint, plywood
30x 36x 36"

A site specific commissioned sculptures that serves as a vessel, which holds an artist's stamp and journal for visitors to discover through the act of "geocaching," a type of scavenger hunt that utilizes clues and GPS to help enthusiasts find the sites and record their findings in their own journals. This project is permanently installed in Homestead Park, Dublin, Ohio.
The piece was derived from studying slate formations, a type of rock native to the Ohio region. The area of color keys the viewer into the door of the vessel.
